Enforcement of Rules
The Pool Manager and lifeguards have the authority to enforce all the rules and ensure the safety of all members and guests. Violations of these rules will result in suspension of pool privileges. You will be asked to remove yourself from the pool grounds immediately. Any disagreement should be taken to the pool manager. The lifeguards are employed to enforce the rules, not to interpret them. Limit all conversations with the lifeguards while they are on duty. The guards are there for your protection, not for socializing.

Pool Tags
A pool member roster will be maintained and pool personnel will allow entrance based upon the following:

• Membership dues are currently paid in full.
• Your assigned pool tag is shown while signing in. You will not be allowed access to the pool without a tag. Each family will be issued one pool tag per immediate family member. Anyone other than your immediate family will be issued a Guest Pass. Immediate family are persons living in your household. Please refer to Guest Section for more information.

Lost tags will be replaced at the cost of $5.00 each. Please notify the pool manager immediately if your tag is lost. Loaning of pool tags will result in confiscation of tags.

Withdrawal of Tags
The following will result in withdrawal of tags by the pool manager:
• Abuse of rules.
• Non-compliance of rules.
• "Loaning" your pool tags to other individuals.
• Destruction of pool property

For health reasons, diapers are to be worn on all children not yet fully potty-trained. Plastic pants are to be worn over diapers (including disposable diapers) for added protection.
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or caregiver and will have their tags stamped specifically for a child under age 12.

Floatation Devices
Only the following floatation devices are to be permitted:

10-Minute Adult Swim
At 10 minutes before each hour, an adult swim will be called. This rule is intended to give Children a rest and adults, unobstructed swim time. The adult swim will not be called the last ten minutes of each operating day.

All children must have their entire body out of the water and remain at least 3 feet from the pool edge. Parents may not use this time to swim with their children and are not to permit their children to swim in the roped off area.

This is not to be used as a retreat for the children older than 5 to visit the Kiddie Pool.
At least one lifeguard will remain on deck during the adult swim.

Under 12
All children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or a caregiver and will have their tags stamped specifically for a child under age 12.

Children who are 12 and younger who are living in their family home in Yorkshire will be given specially marked pool tags.

12 and Older Rule
All children between the ages of 12 and 16 must be pre-registered at the pool in order to swim without their parents. No child between these ages will be admitted on their own unless they are pre-registered.

These tags will verify that they are able to swim by themselves. Verification of age is needed to obtain special tags. This may be an up-to-date report card or a birth certificate.

These children may not bring a child/sibling/guest under the age of 12 into the pool.

Caregivers
Anyone intending to bring a child, other than their own, to the pool on a regular basis is required to have a caregiver form on file in the office. The sole purpose of this form is to verify that you, the parent, are aware that your child/children are at the Yorkshire Swim Club. If the caregiver is a member and the children are not, the children will be charged a guest fee. If the Caregiver is not a member then Caregiver will be required to pay a guest fee. Caregivers are not to leave children unattended at the pool. All children under their care must leave the pool at the time the caregiver leaves.

• No chewing gum while in pool.
• No eating, drinking or holding any item to be consumed while in the pool, around the pool edge (deck) or on the pool steps. Please parents, do not allow your children to walk around the pool or sit on the steps while eating.
